At WB Orthodontics, Dr. Wakeshi Benson and her team goal is to focus on your orthodontic concerns and to gain your trust.  The American Association of Orthodontist recommends all children to have an orthodontic evaluation by age 7.  We treat children, teens and adults—all are welcome to join our orthodontic family.  We offer a variety of options to straighten your teeth and align your jaw.  Sometimes braces are performed in conjunction with an oral surgeon if jaw alignment is desired.   We offer metal, clear (ceramic) or invisible braces (invisalign) and appliances for retention.  Our patients should expect a caring, gentle, and professional office.  If you desire quality orthodontic care in a friendly environment – look no further.  We pride ourselves in creating beautiful long-lasting smiles.  We have a special interest in the function and aesthetics of your smile.  With state-of-the art technology and an exceptionally courteous team, WB Orthodontics is equipped to meet the individual needs of every patient.

Your beautiful smile starts with an initial consultation!

Your initial consultation will provide you with the opportunity to meet take a tour of the office, meet the staff, address your chief concern(s), learn more about orthodontics, and discover what treatment options are suitable for your personal needs.  During your initial consultation expect the following:

  • A review of your dental and medical history
  • An oral exam and possible X-rays ( you may bring in X-rays from a previous dentist within the past year)
  • A preliminary customized treatment plan
  • A question and answer session about your treatment plan:  How long is treatment, if treatment?  Is treatment needed? Will teeth need to be extracted?  Along with any additional questions you might have.
  • An explanation of all costs, insurance options, and payment plans available.

Note:  All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the initial visit.

What is the next step after the initial consultation?

After your consultation, you will have a records appointment.   At this appointment you will have X-rays, impressions taken of your mouth, and separators placed (if needed).  The final treatment plan will be reviewed and questions answered.  Then, an appointment (1-1 ½ hours) is scheduled to place your new orthodontic appliance.  During this time we will provide home-care instructions.  Congratulations–you are very close to achieving the smile you have always desired!
